Full Business Details: Jordan Marine designs, manufactures and undertakes repairs of Yacht Covers, Spray hoods, Biminis & Sails and Sail Covers for marine craft of all sizes. The company stock marine coatings from varnishes, topside and antifouling paints and epoxy applications. They also provide a specialist services including varnishing, paint applications for topsides, polishing and antifouling service for large and small marine craft, sail washing service, life raft, fire extinguisher, epirb servicing service.

The repair side of the business was set up by the present owner and has proven very successful. A new sail making machine was acquired 1 year ago at a cost of 10,000 Euros and this is included in the sale price, as is all stock.

In addition Jordan Marine is the official Greek importer of Teamac marine and industrial coatings, so there's potential to expand the distribution side of that. Importers discount applies to all the teamac products. Jordan Marine is also the official distributor of International and Awlgrip marine coatings for the Southern Peloponnese. There is collaboration with sailmakers in Athens and Thessaloniki for new sails and rigging services as well as local carpenters and innox workers. At this time the opportunities which these contracts offer have not been exploited.

The business is already known through several International cruising websites and is currently the only place for sails repaired (24hr emergency service in the summer) on the southern Peloponnese. The repair contract for the San Agustino Hotel dinghy sails and windsurfers provide a good summer income.

There is a ripe opportunity for professional topside and osmosis treatment centre here, at present no one else is doing it. Jordan Marine has negotiated with the marine management a space in the yard for this side of the business where a tent, extractor fans, humidity control, etc, maybe placed. Technicians can be employed, Jordan Marine would manage and co-ordinate the work.

There is further potential for expanding the business, eg, taking the sewing side out to a bigger place elsewhere in Kalamata and expanding the chandlery in the shop.

Kalamata is the gateway between the Aegean and the Ionian whether cruising east or west.
